Franklin Community's "Showfest" hosted a great line-up of choirs!!


On Saturday, February 2nd, 23 mixed groups and 14 women's groups went to Franklin, IN to compete at Franklin Community's "Showfest." In the Gym, the Festival Unisex, and Festival Mixed Division competed while the Competition Womens and Competition Mixed competed in the Auditorium. The 1st group kicked off at 7:25am in the Auditorium and 7:45am in the Gym.

A great day of show choir was presented in both venues. At 6:25pm, the Gym had daytime awards, where 3 Festival Unisex and 6 Festival Mixed groups advanced to finals. Those groups can be found below:

At 7:00pm in the Auditorium, 4 Competition Unisex and 6 Competition Mixed Division choirs advanced to the finals. The groups in those division that advanced can be found below.

Final Awards for the gym were held at 11:45pm for the Festival Unisex and Festival Mixed divisions were given out. Awards for the Gym can be found here:

In the Competition Unisex Division, Center Grove's "Debtones" came out on top after defeating Franklin Central's "High Voltage." Last year "High Voltage" completed an undefeated season, winning Women's Division Grand Champion at every competition as well as earning Best Vocals at every competition.

In the Competition Mixed Division, Franklin Central's "FC Singers" and Center Grove's "Sound System" went up against each other since last year at HOA Orlando. Last year at HOA, "Sound System" finished 3rd and "FC Singers" finished 4th. Here, "FC Singers" came out on top and earning Best Vocals. "FC Singers" has attended for 4 years (that is how many years the competition has been happening) and has won Grand Champion at every single one of them!! "By Request's" amazing show band took Best Band, while "Swingsation's" choreography earned them "Best Visuals."

"Flight" Claims Grand Championship across town at Choral Classic

On Saturday, March 9th, 13 mixed show choirs and 3 womens show choirs traveled to Wheaton, IL for the renowned Choral Classic. This event has been a hot spot for show choirs for as long as people can remember. It never fails to amaze the spectators with the amount of talent that runs through the stage. The day kicked off with the Women's Division participants. After the three of them performed, the mixed division kicked off right away!! The talent kept growing throughout the day with groups traveling in from all across the country. Defending champions, "Titan Fever" closed out the daytime competition right before WWS "Espirit" presented their A-M-A-Z-I-N-G show. The daytime awards ceremony followed after WWS's exhibition performance. During daytime awards, each group was presented with a certificate of participation, then we went on to the actual awards. Hastings "Riverside Company" were the BIG WINNERS at "Competition of Excellence" 2019

" Riverside Company " was third to last to perform in the daytime round. Going into the competition, the group has earned 1 Grand Champion at Ankeny Centennial's "Mid-Iowa Show Choir Championships" earning Best Vocals, Best Band, and Best Male Soloist. " Riverside Company " also competed at the Onalaska "Classic" on January 12th, earning 3rd Place, right behind, Westside's "ATSC," and Bemidji's "Vocalmotive." Last year at Westside, " Riverside Company " earned 3rd Place alongside taking Best Closer. During daytime awards this year, " Riverside Company " took Best Opener, Best Ballad, and an Outstanding Soloist Award for Grace Reilly. The group was selected to perform last in finals at 9:45pm.
