On Saturday, February 16th, "10th Street Edition" traveled to Davenport to compete for the last time in 2019. 2 - Women's Groups, 7 - Prep Groups, and 8 - Varsity groups traveled to the Alder Theater to compete.

Last week at Urbandale, Linn-Mar and Johnston went head-to-head with Johnston taking Best Band and Best Vocals and Linn-Mar taking Best Choreography. Linn-Mar was seeking to keep it going and taking home that last Grand Championship of the Year.

When Final Awards came around, Prairie's "The Ambassadors" were announced as 5th Runner-Up, Craig "Spotlighters" were 4th Runner-Up, CR Kennedy's "Happiness, Inc." 3rd Runner-Up, and Totino-Grace "Company of Singers" 2nd Runner-Up. Now it just comes down to "10th Street Edition" & "Innovation," a similar match to just a week ago. Best Vocals and Best Choreography was awarded to "10th Street Edition." "Innovation" was then announced 1st Runner-Up and "10th Street Edition" knew they had done it again, earning their 3rd Consecutive Grand Championship.

"10th Street Edition" has competed at 4 tough competitions this year, out of their normal. First, they started off the year at Ankeny Centennial, coming in 2nd behind Hasting's "Riverside Company." They earned Best Choreography and Emma Geneser won Soloist. Three weeks later, they competed across town at Prairie's "Premiere," where they took a Grand Champion sweep and Emma Geneser once again took Best Soloist.

Two weeks later, the group competed at Iowa's most competitive competitions of the year, where they took Grand Champion and Best Choreography. Now at Davenport, they took Grand Champion, Earning Best Vocals, Best Choreography and Best Male & Female Soloist.

What an amazing year for "10th Street Edition." After a 2018 undefeated season, they rose up to the challenge to complete another great season. I can't wait to see where this group will take us next year. Also, the story line behind the show is amazing. I haven't seen a show like it but it is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!

I would also like to point out the groups is Choreographed by April James and Lexi Robson. THE GROUP HAS A 8 BEST CHOREOGRAPHY STREAK!! They went undefeated 2 consecutive years in a row with the Best Choreography caption.

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK "10TH STREET EDITION!!" CONGRATS ON A GREAT SEASON!!
